Who are we?

Hello👋 we’re Mark Barbir and Sanden Gocka. We’ve spent years shipping software, leading teams, and living through the joyful chaos of building real products. Like you, we’ve watched our calendars stretch and our evenings disappear into endless follow-ups, context-switches, and busywork. We know what it’s like to be the center spoke in an organization, holding everything together and never getting a moment to breathe.

Why are we here?

We built Earmark because we kept becoming the connection between the conversation and everything that had to happen afterward. We knew the decision, remembered the constraint, wrote the ticket, updated the team, and carried the open questions into the next meeting. The job needed our judgment. Too much of the day went to moving information around.

We believe people should be able to contribute their judgment without becoming responsible for manually carrying every conversation into the rest of the organization. Earmark helps turn the discussion into work people can review and use.

What we're building today

Earmark is a botless AI meeting assistant for product and engineering teams. You choose the output you need, and it drafts from the conversation: a spec, ticket set, decision record, or follow-up. You review what matters and carry it into your team's workflow.

Saved meetings can also become context for later questions and shared Projects. Local transcript files let you use that context with other tools. Our longer-term ambition is to help people and agents act on organizational knowledge without having to reconstruct it every time.

What do we value?

Make useful work easier to produce. A good output should help someone decide or act. We judge it by what the team can use and how much reconstruction remains.

Keep judgment with people. A missing owner is still missing. An unresolved question is still unresolved. We want Earmark to make those gaps visible so people can resolve them.

Let context travel. Customers should be able to use their meeting context beyond Earmark. Portable transcript files are one way we put that belief into practice.

Respect what people choose to keep private. A more complete history is not always a better one. We want useful shared context without requiring every conversation to become a permanent record.

What's our goal?

We want the people building products to spend more of their day listening, questioning, and deciding. Earmark should help carry those conversations forward, with less work left for someone to reconstruct after everyone leaves.
